Journey of the Self

I sail between two worlds
Between the ‘one’ that I know
and the place that I fear
In search of a passage
the next expectation
To whom I am and will become
I hold myself (the modern one) and
the one who brought me here (the historical one)
Resolving the conflict of questions
that are born
Waiting for my renewal as the
old self sheds
circling the womb of time
I succumb to the journey
entering the threshold
which will lead me from myself
To the next frontier
where the answers lie
Together we sail the crest
and ride the wave
Acknowledging our purpose
We sail to a new end.
